Activity 1

Duration15 minutesSuggested Social FormPair work

Activity Instruction

1. To activate prior knowledge and connect the current lesson to previous activities, learners individually note down key concepts, ideas, or topics they remember from earlier lessons in the sequence.

2. Learners then discuss their notes with a partner or in small groups and identify common themes. Together, they submit keywords to a Mentimeter word cloud. Keywords may be entered in any language.

3. Once all responses have been collected, the class discusses the emerging word cloud. Learners are encouraged to explain the meaning of selected keywords, share what they remember about them, and explore connections between different concepts. The teacher facilitates the discussion, clarifies misunderstandings, and highlights links to the topic of the current lesson.
